PETITT, MILDRED BLANCH (NANA) - age 89 of Knoxville, passed away at 11:15 p.m., Monday, February 8, 2010 at U.T. Medical Center. She was a member of Lincoln Park Baptist Church. Preceded in death by husband, Howard Petitt; grandson, Todd Howard Rainwater. Survivors: daughter and son-in-law, Ruth Ann and Carl Rainwater of Longwood, Florida; daughter, Betty Cox of Knoxville; grandchildren, Doug Rainwater of New York City, Whitney Harris of Knoxville; 5 great grandchildren; Kaley, Jordan, Logan, Lucas, and Chesney; 1 great-great grandchild, Jaelyn; special nieces, Sue and Carolyn Wilson of Knoxville. Memorial contributions may be sent to the American Heart Association , 4708 Papermill Drive, Knoxville 37919. A funeral service will be held 7:00 p.m. Friday, February 12, 2010 in Stevens Chapel. Family and friends will meet at 10:15 a.m. Saturday at Highland Memorial Park for a 10:30 a.m. graveside service and interment.
