ROBBINS, CARLYLE "DICK" - died Thursday morning, August 3, 2000, at 8:55 a.m. at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was retired from ALCOA in Alcoa, TN. After retiring from the Aluminum Company of America, Mr. Robbins was active in the Blount County Rescue Squad and received several awards for outstanding service. He served as secretary-treasurer of the Blount County Rifle and Pistol Club until the club disbanded. He was a 50 Year member of the George Washington Lodge #181. Mr. Robbins was a member of the Immanuel United Methodist Church where he was active as a Trustee and member of the Administrative Council. Survivors include : wife, Nancy Mildred Clemens Robbins; sons, Donald Clemens of Woodsfield, OH, Wayne Carlyle of Maryville, TN, Howard Allen of Oxnard, CA; daughters, Norma Jean Helton of Killen, AL, Betty Kathryn Weaver of Louisville, TN, Dianne Robbins Cooper of Friendsville, TN' 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren. Funeralservices will be held at 7 p.m. Friday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Harless and Rev. A.L. Helton officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11 a.m. Saturday at Middlesettlements Cemetery for the interment service. The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. Friday at McCammon-Ammons Click Funeral Home, Maryville. Pall bearers will be grandsons: Wesley Weaver, David Robbins, Patrick Cooper, Clint Cooper, Stanley Helton, and Anthony Helton. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ronald Alan Smith, his hunting and fishing friend, and The Men's Bible Class of Immanuel United Methodist Church of Mentor.
