HOLDWAY, JIMMY - age 69, of Oak Ridge, passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at the Methodist Medical Center. He was born July 11, 1942 in Newport, TN, the son of Garrett and Anna Mae Haun Holdway. Mr. Holdway served with the Army National Guard from 1964 - 1969. He was retired and the owner and operator of United Dry Wall. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Robert Holdway, Billy Holdway and J. D. Holdway. He is survived by daughters, Anna Wells and husband Chris and Melanie Holdway and her significant other Rus Harper, all of Knoxville; brothers, Ben Holdway of Cleveland, OH and Bud Holdway of Newport; sisters, Louise Shelton of Newport, Gladys "Red" Johnson of Asheville, NC and Flora Lee Bahari of Bedford, OH; grandchildren, Alex Robertson, Abby Wells and Josie Wells, all of Knoxville; the mother of his children, Neva Holdway of Knoxville and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Friday, February 17, 2012 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at Weatherford Mortuary. The funeral will follow at 7:00 pm with Dr. Paul Humphrey officiating. A graveside service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 am at Oak Ridge Memorial Park. An on-line guest book can be signed at www.weatherfordmortuary.com.
