Mr. Samuel E. Fox, age 68 of Newport passed away, Thursday morning, May 15, 2008 at his home. He was a member of Bat Harbor Log church.
Mr. Fox was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Mae Fox; step-son, Dennis Cody; grandchildren, Amanda Cody and Steven Cody; sisters and brothers-in-law, Polly and Joe Penix, Helen and Aubrey Stuart, Marie and Clay Mantooth; sister-in-law, Edith Fox and brothers-in-law, Homer Ball and Richard Ball.
He is survived by his wife, Reppie (Ball) Fox of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Jewel Fox; step-son, Tim Cody; step-daughter, Neketia Kanupp; step-daughters and sons-in-law, Michelle and Sam Johnson, Trish and Rick Foster; step-son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Linda Cody; grandchildren, Natasha and Josh Dees, Ashley and Blake Forrester, John Golden, Josh Johnson, Timmy Cody, Brandon Cody, Tiffany Cody, Charlie Black, Wesley Black, April Cody, and Justin Cody; and six great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Iris June and Glen Shaver, Brenda and Bill Crum; brother, R.C. Fox; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Ann and Gene Sane, Velma and Robert Fox, Bessie and Scott Brown, Bobbie and Roscoe Davis, Vella and Bruce Warden, Faye Miller, Junior and Mamie Ball, Roger and Virginia Ball, Randy and Genie Ball, Chan and Arlene Ball, and David Ball; additional survivors include several special friends.
Family and friends will meet at 10:45 a.m. Saturday, May 17, 2008 at Fox Family Cemetery for the 11 a.m. graveside service with Rev. Rick Ogle and Rev. Glen Ball officiating. Interment will be in Fox Family Cemetery.
Family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday evening at Costner-Maloy Funeral Home.
