COX, CLARA MAY (JENNINGS) - age 85, of Knoxville, passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at Harriman Healthcare Center. She was a member of Wolf Valley Baptist Church. Mrs. Cox was preceded in death by her husband, William Odra Cox; brother, Earl Jennings; sons, Lillard Carson (Buddy) Cox, William David Cox and Jacky Wayne Cox; daughter, Rebecca Darlene (Becky) Fields; son-in-law, Kyle Wayne Lowery; step-sons, Harvey Cox and Jean Cox. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Bobbie and Sonny Cole and Joann and John Coward, Brenda Lowery, Donna Richardson and Robin McGinnis; son and daughter-in-law, Johnny and Gail Cox; sisters, Beulah Brock and Mildred Harper; twenty grandchildren; thirty-nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will meet at 12:45 p.m. Friday at Asbury Cemetery for a 1:00 p.m. graveside service with Reverend Daniel Beason officiating. Pallbearers will be Johnny Whitter, Jason Whitter, Chris Lowery, Robert Ashbrook, Bobby Wright and William Maddox.
