A. Beecher Huskey, 96, a life-long resident of Huskey's Grove and member of Huskey's Grove Methodist Church died Friday, Aug. 25.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Bonnie McCoig, and four sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Blanche; daughters and sons-in-law, Yvonne and the Rev. Pete Koster of Seymour, Brenda and Dr. D. Jack Owenby of Nashville; sister, Jessie Ogle of Gatlinburg; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held Sunday at Rawlings Chapel in Sevierville.
The Rev. August P. Koster III, the Rev. Clyde Fisher and Pastor Charles "Buddy" Kemner officiated, with interment at Huskey's Grove Cemetery.

HUSKEY, A. BEECHER - age 96, a life long resident of Huskey's Grove and member of Huskey's Grove Methodist Church graduated from this life Friday, August 25th to the eternal life promised to him through Jesus Christ. Beecher was preceded in death by his daughter, Bonnie McCoig; sisters, Viola Clabo, Rozelia Clabo, Mollie Manis and Ruby Huskey.
Mr. Huskey is survived by his faithful wife, Blanche; daughters and sons in law, Yvonne and Rev. Pete Koster of Seymour, Brenda and Dr. D. Jack Owenby of Nashville. His family has grown to six grandchildren, Sonya Trice of Oklahoma City, Okla., Roger McCoig of Knoxville, Peter Koster of Lumberton, Texas, Patrick Koster of Seymour, David Owenby of Knoxville, Mary Ann Dodson of Nashville; five great granddaughters; and one great grandson; sister, Jessie Ogle of Gatlinburg. The family will receive friends Sunday August 27 from 2-3 p.m. with the memorial service following at 3 p.m. at Rawlings Chapel in Sevierville. The Rev. August P. Koster III, Rev. Cyde Fisher and Pastor Charles "Buddy" Kemner officiating. Interment will follow the memorial service at Huskey's Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Huskey's Grove Cemetery Fund c/o Jerry Cole, 550 Huskey's Grove Road Sevierville, Tenn. 37876.
