GARDNER, WILLIE N. - 78, of Strawberry Plains, TN passed away Saturday, January 3, 2004, at Hillcrest Nursing Home. She was preceded in death by husband Ray Gardner parents, Bill and Lucy Newman sister Frieda Groseclose brothers, Hubert Newman , Don Newman and Curtis Newman . She was survived by son and daughter-in-law, David and Floyde Anne Gardner grandchildren, Cindy and husband Chris Tucker, Joe Gardner, Josh Davis and Julia and husband Cory Costanza sister, Frances Wishart brother, Glenn Newman . She is also survived by lifelong best friends: Connie Gilbert and Nola Cooper. Willie was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Strawberry Plains. Funeral will be 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Fielden's Chapel with Rev. Mike Boatfield officiating. Interment 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Strawberry Plains Cemetery.
