Ogle to mark 90th birthday
Gladys Ogle, of Maryville, will celebrate her 90th birthday from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the activities dining area at Asbury Place, Maryville. For more information, call Carla at 679-2285.
She was born Oct. 15, 1918, in Blount County, to the late John and Susie Law. She was married to the late Cecil Ogle Sr.
Her family includes children Martin Ogle, of Maryville, Murlin and Brenda Ogle, of Maryville, Lowell and Ruth Ogle, of Newnan, Ga., Jeanette and Roger Burnett, of Walland, and Carla and Tim Ogle, of Maryville. She has 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Her daughter-in-law Sandra Ogle and grandson Rodney Ogle are deceased.
Mrs. Ogle is a member of Hillcrest Missionary Baptist Church.

Gladys E. (Law) Ogle, age 90 of Walland, went home to be with her Lord, the morning of March 18th 2009 while surrounded by her family. Gladys was preceded in death by her husband Cecil M. Ogle Sr.; grandson, Rodney Ogle; daughter in law, Sandra Ogle; parents, John & Susie Law; sisters, Alene Payne, Mattie Abbott, Mildred Whitehead, and Ruth Russell and Brother, John Law. She is survived by her daughters and sons in laws, Jeanette & Roger Burnett of Walland and Carla & Tim Ogle of Maryville; sons and daughters in laws, Cecil (Martin) Ogle Jr., Jerry (Murlin) & Brenda Ogle all of Maryville and Richard (Lowell) & Ruth Ogle of Newnan Georgia; grandchildren, Annette Moore, Eugene Burnett, Kimberly McCaulley, Sherry Connatser, Rusty Buchanan, Nick Buchanan, Richie Storie, Amanda O’Neal, Rickie Herron, and Stephanie Wimbley; 16 great grandchildren; sister, Betty Cooper of Senoia Georgia and several nieces and nephews; sisters in law, Jean Law of Maryville and Etta Ogle of Walland and a host of friends. A special thank you to the staff of Asbury Place “The Village”. Memorials can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, P.O. Box 10088, Knoxville TN 37939-9910 or the Juvenile Diabetes Association, 120 Wall Street, 19th Floor, New York, NY 10005. Funeral service will be held 8:00 p.m., Friday, March 20, 2009 at Miller Funeral Home Magnolia Chapel, Rev. Carl White and Rev. George Macht officiating. Graveside service and interment will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Hillcrest Baptist Church Cemetery.
