Brenda Joyce Reed, 68, of Maryville, passed away Sunday morning March 25, 2012, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a graduate of Everett High School. She was a Certified Nursing Assistant for 27 years. She was employed at Manor House Assisted Living. She had a big heart of love for people and was known for her big laugh and her enjoyment of singing. She was a member of Grace Memorial Baptist Church and served as secretary. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, Knox and Margaret Haggard Teffeteller; son. Jeff Abbott; grandson, Michael Abbott; and sister, Carolyn Lee. She is survived by her husband, Clyde Reed of Maryville; son, Johnny Abbott and Lori of Knoxville; daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Jeff Travis of Cocoa, Fla.; grandsons, Zachary Abbott Lee of Maryville, Mitch Abbott of Walland, Justin Owenby of Cocoa, Fla.; brother, Doug Teffeteller and Carol of Townsend; brother-in-law, Robert (Squeak) Lee of Maryville; daughter-in-law, Debbie Abbott of Walland; nieces, Lavonda Lee of Maryville, Christie Howell of Greenback, Buffie Lambert of Maryville, Angie Pritchett of Friendsville; several great-nieces, nephews, and cousins. Pallbearers will be Johnny Abbott, Robert Lee, Doug Teffeteller, Jeff Gregg, Richard Jones, and Ray Ferguson. Zachary Abbott Lee will serve as honorary pallbearer. Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Monday, March 26, 2012, at Grace Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Ron Sunderland, and Doug Teffeteller officiating. The family and friends will meet at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Pleasant Hill Cemetery for a graveside and interment service. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the Church.
