Margaret Francis Teffeteller, age 82, of Maryville passed away on Thursday, September 30, 2004, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a founding member of Bethesda Church of God, formerly Foothills Worship. Mrs. Teffeteller lived a life of service to the Lord and touched all she met with her sweet spirit and unique humor. She was a charter member as well as the oldest member of Bethesda Church of God. Preceded in death by: husband, Knox Teffeteller; grandson, Jeff Abbott; sisters, Iva Haggard, Ruby Thomas, Nora Jane Haggard; brother, Billy Ray Haggard. Survivors include: son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Rev. Doug Teffeteller and wife Carol of Friendsville; daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn and Robert Lee of Maryville and Brenda and Clyde Reed of Alcoa; grandchildren, Christie and Mike Howell of Greenback, Angie and Mike Pritchett of Friendsville, Debbie Abbott of Walland, Lavonda Lee, Buffie and Eric Lambert, Johnny and Patty Abbott, Kevin, Caryn, and Micah Hansen, all of Maryville; great-grandchildren, Michael and Rebecca Howell of Greenback, Amanda and Kalie Pritchett of Friendsville, Mitch Abbott of Walland, Zachary Abbott, Joshua and Matthew Lambert, all of Maryville; brother, James Haggard and wife Tina Haggard; and numerous nieces and nephews; special friends, E.L. McGaha, Betty Pierce, Chris Fuller and Grace Hatcher. Funeral service will be at 7:00 p.m., Saturday, October 2, 2004, in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Rev. Jimmy Haggard, Rev. Harrison Hill, and Rev. Doug Teffeteller officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 3, 2004, at Chilhowee View Cemetery for the interment. Her family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to: Bethesda Church of God, 137 Vernie Lee Road, Friendsville, TN 37737, to be used to create a memorial garden in her honor.
