Brown, Fred L., age 80, of Dandridge, formerly of Knoxville, went home to be with the Lord September 11, 2010 surrounded by his loving family. He was a member of Greenhill Baptist Church and a Navy Korean War Veteran. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and spent his life dedicated to God, his family, and his church family. Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 51 years, Anna "Latham" Brown daughter, Deborah Chodan; parents, James and Betty Brown; brothers, Paul, Bill, Troy, and Curtis Brown; sisters, Lois Julian and Elsie Stephens. He is survived by Sons and Daughters-in-law, Steve and Sharon Brown, Jason and Kerri Brown; Daughters and Sons-in-law, Carolyn and Gary Smith, Nancy and Joe Bogner, Susan and Tommy Arwood, and LouAnn and Brandon Childress. Grandchildren, Stephen and Kristy Brown, Paul Brown, Sarah and Matt Wess, Julia and Brent Honshell, Rachel Brown, Rachel Smith, Christy and Seth Knorr, John and Michal Smith, Mike Chodan, Tim and Nikki Chodan, Ben Chodan, Justin Arwood, Kevin Arwood, Jordan Childress, AnneMarie Bradford, Austin Childress, Brandon Childress Jr, Meghan Brown. Great-Grandchildren, Hannah Brown, Rosie Brown, Robert Brown, Natalie Brown, Elizabeth Wess, Ella Knorr and several family and friends. The family would like to express a special thanks to Mr. Brown's caregivers at NHC Fort Sanders. The family will receive friends Wednesday 5-7 at Berry Funeral Home Chapel with service at 7 PM, Pastor Steve Brown and Pastor Len McElyan officiating.
