HEMPHILL, VIRGIL - age 52 of Knoxville, passed away Tuesday, February 1, 2005 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Knoxville. Mr. Hemphill attended Harvest Church and was preceded in death by his mother, Dicie Hemphill. He is survived by: his wife of 23 years, Linda Hemphill sons and daughter-in-law, Joe and Jamie Hemphill of Knoxville and James Hemphill of Louisville, Kentucky daughters and son-in-laws, Stephanie and Wayne Bowers of Knoxville and Melissa and Jason Mynatt of Corryton father, Cecil Hemphill of Knoxville brothers and sister-in-laws, Jessie and Mary Wilson of Jefferson City and Charlie and Joyce Hemphill of Knoxville sisters and brother-in-laws, Doris Warren of Knoxville, Sue and Larry Green of Knoxville, and Bobbie and Jerry Conner of Corryton several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 2, 2005 from the McCarty Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Tim Atchley officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 a.m. Thursday morning, February 3, 2005 at Pollard Cemetery in Kodak for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday prior to the service at the mortuary. Arrangements by McCarty Mortuary, 4004 Holston Drive, Knoxville, TN 37914.
