RITCHEY, JAMES EDWARD - age 79, of Maryville, passed away Sunday, February 18, 2001 at the family home after a long illness. He was a member and Deacon of Old Piney Grove Baptist Church. Mr. Ritchey served in The United States Army in World War II. He was retired from Stowers Machinery in Knoxville with 25 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Matt and Virginia Ritchey. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Lorene Byrd Ritchey; son and daughter-in-law, Harold and Janice Ritchey of Maryville; grandchildren, Matthew and Maleia Ritchey; sisters, Trula Peterson of Maryville and Belle Davis of Corryton, TN ; brothers, Charles Ritchey of Maryville; several nieces, nephews and other family members. Funeral services will be 8:00 p.m. Tuesday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Scott Campbell and Rev. Clifford Debety officiating. Family and friends will meet 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Old Piney Cemetery for the interment service with Rev. Kenneth Sullivan officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at McCammons-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville.
