She was born on October 8, 1922 in Kodak, TN. She was of the Baptist faith and retired from Knoxville Glove Company in 1987. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Foster; father, James C. Coleman and mother, Gertrude M. Carson; and sister, Mary Brown. She is survived by sons, Carroll W. (Allene) Hickman of Lafayette, GA, and Dean (Sharon) Hickman of Morristown, TN; grandsons, Danny (Michele) Hickman, Mark (Connie) Hickman from Morristown; granddaughters, Valarie (Duran) Rowlls, and Kim (Clint) Harrison from Lafayette, Ga.; great grandsons, Joshua and Caleb Hickman, and Matt Polly of Morristown, and Jett Harrison of Lafayette, GA; great granddaughters, Stephanie (Ryan) McClellan, Amanda (Brandon) Jordan, Erica and Sara Rowlls, and Daley Harrison all of Lafayette, GA; great great-grandsons, Luke, Connor, and Jordan Hickman; great great-granddaughter, Emma McClellan all of Morristown; sisters, Ruth Ayers of Blaine, TN, Lorraine (J.C.) Russell of Kodak, TN, and Jewell Willett of Nashville, TN, step-daughter, Joyce Dalton, step-granddaughter, Debbie Dalton, and step great-grandson, Josh Dalton; also several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 8:00 p.m. on Monday, April 7, 2008, at Westside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Lamb and Rev. J.B. Gulley officiating. The family will meet for an 11:00 a.m. graveside services on Tuesday, April 8, 2008, in Hamblen Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Monday prior to the services at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made West Hamblen Volunteer Fire Dept., Kidwell's Ridge Fire Stations in care of Dean Hickman 121 W. Manley Court Circle Morristown, TN 37814.
