KING, THOMAS VICTOR - of Roanoke, Va. a native of Knoxville, Tenn., is as of December 1, 2008, now in the presence of his Lord. He was an active member of Cave Spring Baptist Church, Roanoke. Vic was preceded in death by his father, J.O. King and mother, Amanda King of Knoxville. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Cynthia White King; four sons and daughters-in-law, Randall Scott King, Rodney Dwayne King and Melissa Carol King of Roanoke, Joseph Allan and Terry Fore King, of Smyrna, Ga., and John Edward and Kim King of Knoxville. Mr. King is also survived by grandchildren, Kimberly Noel King, Thomas Gregory King, Joseph Andrew King, Matthew Scott King, Ashley Brooke King, and Brandon Scott Andrews, all of Roanoke. He is also survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Charolette King of Knoxville, and sister, Ruth Waldrop of Lexington, Ky.; brother-in-law and wife, John and Carol White of Conroe, Texas. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and many special friends in Knoxville, TN and Roanoke who blessed his life for many years. Vic was an employee of White Lily in Knoxville, Roanoke City Mills and Martha White Foods in Roanoke. Those who know Jesus Christ as Savior will see him again, "and so shall we ever be with the Lord." In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cave Spring Baptist Church Building Fund 4873 Brambleton Avenue S.W. Roanoke, Va. 24018. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at Cave Spring Baptist Church by the Rev. Chip Roberson. Interment will follow in Evergreen Burial Park. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road Roanoke, Va. 540-366-0707
