RUSSELL, STELLA OWNBY, 91, Maryville, died Thursday, Jan. 11, at Blount Memorial Hospital.
Survivors: sons, Gene Russell and David Russell both of Maryville; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. with funeral service to follow at 7 p.m. Saturday at Smith Mortuary. Family and friends will assemble at 2 p.m. Sunday at Shiloh Cemetery in Pigeon Forge for the interment.

RUSSELL, STELLA OWNBY - age 91 of Maryville, died Thursday January 11, 2001 at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church. Preceded in death by parents, Milas & Alice Ownby; husband, Roy C. Russell; brothers, Thurman Ownby and Carl Ownby; sister, Mamie Ownby.
Survivors include; sons & daughters in law, Gene & JoAnn Russell and David & Mary Russell all of Mayville; 3 grandchildren, Chris & wife, Nancy Russell with the International Mission Board in Kiev, Ukraine, Brent & wife, Lisa Russell of Alcoa, Tim & wife, Roxanna Russell of Maryville; 8 great grandchildren, Caleb, Anderson, Hannah, Bryce, Cole, Chloe, Tate, Kylie; sisters in law, Lois Ownby of Sevierville and Mae Ownby Keener of Maryville. Family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. with funeral service to follow at 7 p.m. Saturday, January 13, 2001 in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Rev. Raymond Burnette and Dr. David Sharp officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 14, 2001 at Shiloh Cemetery in Pigeon Forge for the interment.
