MARCUM, JOSEPHINE JONES "JO" - of Knoxville passed away Saturday July 25, 2009 in Richmond, VA while visiting her daughter. She was a member of Fountain City Presbyterian Church; a Charter member of Beaver Brook Country Club where she enjoyed golf and her special friends Betty Uhlman and Lamar Dempster; she was the first of eight siblings and was preceded in death by husband Howard Marcum Sr.; parents Frank and Nettie Jones. Survived by son and daughter-in-law: Howard and Jean Marcum of Seymour; daughter Judith Ann Marcum; grandson Keith Marcum and wife Emily; granddaughter Julie Brennan; sisters Rubye McCloud and Joanne White; sisters-in-law Dot and Marie Jones; five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was admired by her family and friends for her intelligence, generosity and loyalty. Family and friends will meet at the West Adair entrance to Lynnhurst Cemetery 10:45 A.M. Thursday for graveside services at 11:00 A.M. with the Rev Max Reddick officiating. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel www.rosemortuary.com
