Ralph "Gene" Hancock, age 81, of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord on November 11, 2015. Gene was a member of Linear Baptist Church and a veteran of the United States Army. His faith in Jesus Christ was unwavering and he will be deeply missed by all. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Buford and Alice Mae; sisters, Caroline, Marie, Barbara, and Cynthia; brothers, Donald, Dennis, Charles, and James Jr. He is survived by his sisters, Bobbie Kirkland, Alice Hancock, and Rosa Robinson; brother, Kenneth Hancock; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the loving and compassionate staff at Beverly Park Place. The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 14, 2015, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., with a graveside service to follow at 2:30 p.m. at Pollard Cemetery in Kodak, Pastor Greg Brackin officiating.
