James F. Purkey passed away Monday, March 10, 2008 at Colonial Hills Nursing Home. He was a Master Mason and a member of Zion Chapel Baptist Church in Louisville, TN. Mr. Purkey was preceded in death by: His wife, Anna Katherine; Son, James Ronald; Daughters, Shirley Ann and Linda Carol; Parents, James & Fannie Purkey; Brother, Troy Purkey; Sisters, Gordia Cupp, Georgia Ford, Pearl Henderson and Nola Mae French. Survivors include: Wife, Mayme Purkey; Daughter & Son-in-law, Sharon & Brian Williams of Florida; Step-sons and Daughters-in-law, Ted & Linda Roberson of Louisville, TN and Gary & Gail Roberson of Friendsville; Grandchildren, Vanessa Hicks, Erica & Alf Lindsey, and Olivia Williams; Step Grandchildren, Carrie Ann McLemore and Jim Lawson; Great Grandchildren, Tyler & Sadie Hicks and Landon Lindsey. Funeral service will be at 7:30 PM, Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Clarence Byrd and Jim Ogle officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 11:00 AM, Thursday, March 13, 2008 at Union Grove Cemetery for the interment.
