May 13, 1934 - April 4, 2016 Resided in Sevierville, TN Edna Earle Pressley Shults, of Sevierville went to be the Lord on April 4, 2016. Edna was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina and moved to Sevierville after graduating from Berea College, Berea, KY and began a 40 year long career of loving and dedicated service with the Church of God Home for Children. Edna received her Masters degree from the University of Tennessee and served as Director of Social Services for the Home for Children and as such touched the lives of hundreds of children over her lifetime. Edna was a longtime member of Parkway Church of God. She was preceded in death by husband, Johnny Earl Shults and infant son, Eric Shults of Sevierville, grandparents, Robert and Jessie Pressley of Spartanburg, SC, mother Kahleen Motes of Gastonia, NC, and brother William Shaw, Jr. She is survived by sister-in-law, Ruby G. Huskey of Pittman Center, brothers-in-law, Ray Shults and wife Juanita of Pigeon Forge, Roy Shults and wife Beverly of Ripon, CA, Wayne Shults and wife Doris of Woodbridge, CA, many nieces and nephews, and cousins of Spartanburg, SC. She is also survived by many loving and dedicated friends. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Smoky Mountain Children's Home, Parkway Church of God, Sevierville, TN, or any charity of your choice The family will receive friends 3-5 PM Saturday with funeral service to follow at 5 PM in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Pastor Phillip Morris officiating.
