She was a member of Springview Baptist Church. Preceded in death by husband, Ralph M. Cannon; stepson, Ralph L. “Buster” Cannon; parents, Mike and Bessie Purkey; brothers, Lonnie, Owen, Clyde, Virgil, Marvin, Fred, Ralph and Cecil; sisters, Lucille Bolinger and Vondell Matlock. Survived by step daughter in law, Nola Cannon; grandsons and wives, Randy and Patsy Cannon, Tim and Tammy Cannon; great grandchildren, Cayla and Chase Cannon; brother and sister in law, Kenneth and Martha Purkey of Gastonia, North Carolina; several nieces and nephews; special nephew, Zack Edmonds; a host of family and friends. Funeral service 8:00 PM Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at Miller Funeral Home Magnolia Chapel, Rev. Guy Milam officiating. Interment service 11:00 AM Wednesday at Carpenters Campground Methodist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to, Springview Baptist Church, 4220 US Highway 411 South, Maryville, TN 37801.
