COPE, MRS. BEULAH DINGUS FRANKS - age 84, of Knoxville, died 12:05 P.M. Saturday, September 23, 2000, at Holston Health and Rehabilitation Center. Member of Glenwood Baptist Church. Retired from Standard Knitting Mill after 33 years service. Preceded in death by husbands: Homer Clifford Franks and Herbert Cope; parents, Shade F. Dingus Sr. and Mattie Sturgill Dingus; sisters, Leafy Brewer and Stella Stine; brothers, Ted Dingus, Joe Carson Dingus and Frank Dingus. Survivors: daughter, Dorothy Franks Casteel of Pikeville, Tenn.; grandchildren, Wayne Casteel of Knoxville, Tenn., Cynthia Groves of Soddy Daisy, Tenn.; five great-grandsons; sisters, Margot Shular of Knoxville, Louise Honaker of Bristol, Va., Mary McConnell of New Buffalo,Mich.; brothers, John Dingus of Coeburn, Va., Jack Dingus of Bristol, Tenn., Shade F. Dingus Jr. of New Buffalo, Mich. Funeral service 10 a.m. Tuesday at Stevens Chapel, Rev. John Tiller officiating. Interment to follow at Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Stevens Mortuary, Oglewood Ave. at Broadway.
