YARNELL, CARL FREDERICK, SR. - age 92, of Knoxville, passed away Thursday, December 3, 1998. He was a member of Lincoln Park Baptist Church and was a well known Painting and Decorating Contractor for over 50 years. Past President of P.D.C.A., former Secretary of National Association of Corrosions Engineers and received many honorary awards for developing special coatings for use at O.R.N.L. He was preceded in death by wife, Bernice Smith Yarnell and parents, George W. and Bessie Lee Yarnell; two brothers and two sisters. Survived by sons, Carl, Jr., James, David, Kenneth, Paul, Stephen and Robert Yarnell; daughters, Margaret Hayworth, Frances Tindell, Linda Wells and Sarah Lowe; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
