Mr. J. D. Sane, age 83, of Parrottsville, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2012, at Laughlin Health Care Center of Greeneville.
He was a member of Long Creek Christian Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife Geneva Faye Sane, parents Melvin and Mary Sane, one brother, and six sisters.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Ismael and Freda Sane, grandchildren Dwight Sane and Teresa and Daryl White, sister Ruth Gregg, and brother Johnny Sane, all of Parrottsville.
Additional survivors include several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation to his caregivers at Laughlin Health Care Center of Greeneville and Smoky Mountain Home Health and Hospice.
Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 19, 2012, in the Costner-Maloy Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Karl Gasser officiating.
Family and friends will meet at 10:45 a.m. Friday, January 20, 2012, at Salem Lutheran Church Cemetery for the 11:00 a.m. interment.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at Costner-Maloy Funeral Home prior to the services.
