THRESS, JR., CLARENCE E. “BUTCH”, age 63, of Knoxville, passed away May 11, 2007 at Fort Sanders Regional Hospital. Member and Sunday School teacher at Salem Baptist Church and Regional Manager and faithful employee of Orkin Pest Control for 41 years. He was also a member of the Tennessee Pest Control Association. Avid car enthusiast. Preceded in death by brother, Barry Gene Thress.
Survivors
Survived by wife, Tansi Thress; parents, Clarence E. Thress, Sr. and Norma Thress; daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Quint Elkins; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Lisa Thress; son, Mark Thress; grandchildren, Corey, Catie and Nathan Thress and Gehrig and Graham Elkins; beloved pets, Saddie and Ginger. The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Alan Grossman.
Service
Funeral service 8 P.M. Monday, Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel with Rev. John Holland and Rev. Phil Young officiating. Entombment will be ll A.M. Tuesday, Lynnhurst Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Corey Thress, Kenny Wolfenbarger, Mike Jones, Jim Davis, Gene Moody, Jim McManus. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Orkin Management Team and members of his Sunday School class. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Salem Baptist Church Building Fund and American Cancer Society. The famly will receive friends from 5:30-8 P.M. Monday in the chapel of Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel of Berry Funeral Home, 2300 W.
