On Sunday, October 29, 2006, after a long and courageous battle, Mary (Taz) died from complications of ovarian cancer. She was preceded in death by: parents, Clarence and Juanita Ellott; brother, Ted. She is survived by: husband of 50 years, William Alexander Molster, Jr.; daughter and son-in-law, Susan Elliott Molster Ralph and Michael James Ralph of Everett, Washington; daughters, Page Anderson Molster of Montgomery Village, MD and Alexandra Burd Molster of Rockville, MD; sisters, Peggy Tillery of Knoxville, TN and Dorothy Lonon of Marian, NC; many close friends, nieces, nephews and cousins. Mary was born in Knoxville, TN. She attended the University of Tennessee and East Tennessee State University, where she majored in early childhood education. She also appeared as a singer and dancer in a number of campus theatrical productions. After college, she joined American Airlines as a flight attendant, and was based in Dallas, TX where she met her future husband, "Bunky" Molster. Mary was a member of St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church in Laytonsville, where she was a volunteer and vestry member for several years. She also served as a volunteer at the Washington National Cathedral Flower Mart as well as several national organizations. Funeral services were held on Saturday, November 4, 2006 at 2 p.m. at St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church, 21611 Laytonsville Road, Laytonsville, MD. Private interment in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. Contributions may be made in Mary's name to St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church, P.O. Box 5005, Laytonsville, MD 20882.
