RIFFEY, DAVID DALLAS, JR. - of Knoxville, age 77, born September 7, 1928, passed away Thursday, June 15, 2006 at Baptist Hospital after a long illness. He was a member of North Acres Baptist Church. He is now holding his infant daughter Janet Sue Riffey in Heaven. Preceded in death by: father, Dallas Riffey Sr. and sister, Flora Etta Leadbetter. He is survived by: his loving wife of 57 years, Jessie Pettiford Riffey mother, Christina Riffey daughter, Diana Lester son, David and wife Sally Riffey grandson, Matthew and wife Stephanie Riffey grandson and fiancé, Kevin Lester and Lindsay McLaughlin granddaughter and fiancé, Sarah Beth Riffey and David Pace great granddaughters, Katie and Emma Grace brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Jenny Riffey sisters, Francis Stalsworth and Marion McClain sisters and brothers-in-law, Ruth and Ronnie Moore, Hazel and Don Bennett, Edna and Jerry Newman, Ruby and John Hitch many nieces and nephews sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Deloris and Ray McNeil, Faye Newby, Charlcie and Bethal Cooper special loving niece, Lisa Buford. Family and friends will meet 10:45 a.m. Saturday at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for the interment at 11 a.m. Arrangements by Bridges Funeral Home, 5430 Rutledge Pike 523-4999.
