BRANTLEY, HELEN - age 49 of Clinton, TN formerly of LaFollette passed away on Wednesday, February 20, 2008 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Coolidge First Baptist Church. Helen was a 1975 graduate of Jacksboro High School and a 1978 graduate of Jacksboro Technology Center. She attended both Roane State College and Lincoln Memorial University with honors. She was employed by the Department of Energy and the Tennessee Valley Authority before becoming disabled. She had an enormous amount of love for her family, friends, and her loyal dog Teddy and loved spending time with them. She enjoyed homemaking, cooking, nature, school, and the oceans, and would travel to them when her health permitted. Preceded in death by parents: Howard and Grace Comer Brantley, grandparents: Alfred and Hattie Wright Brantley and James and Martha Jane Ford Comer. She is survived by her devoted companion of many years, Ray Nall of Clinton, TN and his two daughters, Tracey Wilkerson of Lexington, KY, and Susan Schroeder of Louisville, KY; brothers: James L. Brantley of LaFollette, TN, Robert F. Brantley of Elkhart, IN, and Benny R. Brantley of Knoxville, TN; a very special cousin, Faye Brantley Henning of LaFollette, TN; nieces: Brittany Brantley of Lenoir City, TN and Melissa Coy of Syracuse, IN; nephews: Marc and Aaron Brantley of LaFollette and Benjamin Brantley of Lenoir City, TN. Funeral service will be 2 PM Saturday, February 23, 2008 in Martin Wilson Chapel with Dr. John Stuhl of Knoxville officiating. Interment will follow in Bakers Forge Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2:00 PM Saturday before funeral service. Martin Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
