  [S4] Knoxville News-Sentinel (Tennessee), 16 Feb 2008. IRWIN, ETHEL MAE - age 99, of Clinton, passed away Saturday, February 16, 2008, at Briarcliff Health Care Center. She was a member of Pine Ridge Baptist Church. Preceded in death by husband, James Lee Irwin; daughter, Betty Childress; son, Frances Irwin; daughter-in-law, Beulah Irwin; son-in-law, William Ridenour; parents, Frances and Laura Bohanan. She is survived by: daughters, Margaret Ridenour of Maynardville, Judy Irwin of Clinton; grandchildren, Bart Irwin and Lonnie Hamby; great-grandchildren, Patricia Hamby, Ronnie Hamby II, Jeremy Hamby, and Megan Irwin; great great-grandchild, Patrick Hamby. The family would like to thank all the staff at Briarcliff Health Care Center and the Caris Hospice workers for their special care given to Ethel during her illness. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 pm, Monday, February 18, 2008 at Holley Gamble Funeral Home. Her graveside service will be 11:00 am Tuesday, at Sinking Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jess Ward and Rev. Jerry Copeland officiating. Holley Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton is in charge of all arrangements.
