“Polly” Frances Pauline Haun Boring, born December 13, 1922, went home to be with the Lord on February 16, 2008.
She was preceded in death by parents, Sarah Ann Freshour Haun and John Pink Haun; sisters, Margaret Largent, Martha Hutsell; brother, Jack Haun.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Arthur “Art” Boring; daughters, Fran Palmer and Margie Myers; son-in-law, David Myers of Maryville, TN; brothers, Leonard Haun, of Sail Creek, TN, and Eugene Haun and wife, Margaret, of California. Grandchildren, Laura Morton and husband, James, of Louisville, TN; Creed Palmer, of Aberdene, NJ; Jeana Bradley and husband, Don, of Decatur, TN; Tony Boring and wife, Leann, of Louisville, TN; Dora Releford, of Friendsville, TN, and Becky Myers of Maryville, TN. Great grandchildren: Cara Barnes of Phoenix, AZ; Crystal Walden of Decatur, TN; Bradley Boring and wife, Tessa; Brandi Boring Law and husband, Opie; John Bryant, Brittany Hughes, Brittany Ingram and husband, Russ, Anthony Boring, Sarah Jones, Elizabeth Releford, Alex and Andrew Yager and Reagan Morton; Two great, great grandchildren and two expected; many nieces, nephews, cousins, also a special cousin, Lois Wilburn Sotuyo and special friends.
Polly was well loved by everyone who met her and opened her heart and love to everyone she met.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday, February 18, at Miller Funeral Home with Myers Funeral Home of Tellico Plains in charge. The Funeral Service to follow at 8:00 p.m. in Miller Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Barney Tipton and Rev. Don Bradley officiating. Interment Tuesday, February 19, at 3:00 p.m., Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Myers Funeral Home, Tellico Plains, TN.
