KIRBY, GERALDEAN (JERRY) CATLETT - age 83, of Knoxville passed away Wednesday September 17, 2008 at St. Mary's Residential Hospice. She was a member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by husband, Paul; parents, Fred and Zelma Catlett; brother, Charlie Catlett. Survivors include children, Ron and Susan Kirby and Sam and Becky Johnston; grandchildren, Chuck and Amy Johnston, Greg and Melissa Kirby, Rachel Kirby, John and Kelly Gregory; great grandchildren, Faith and Jax Kirby, Leigha and Alllie Gregory and Trey and Bryce Johnston; aunt, Evelyn Atchley; sisters-in-law Betty Catlett, Ada Strunk, Sue Sowards and Helen Kirby; brother-in-law and sister-in-say Clarence and Lula Kirby. Special thanks to St. Mary's Residential Hospice and caregivers Georgia Shipley and Carol Watson. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 am Friday at Woodlawn Cemetery for an 11:00 am graveside service with Rev. Jim Whedbee, Rev Don Hanshew, Rev. Melissa Smith and Mr. John Needy officiating. Friends may call at their convenience at Gentry-Griffey Chapel.
