She was preceded in death by her husbands, William Kyker and Jim Thomas; parents, John and Nora Denton; sister, Mabel Proffitt; and brothers, Hugh Denton and Fred Denton. She is survived by her nieces, Pam Proffitt of Cosby, Elaine Gunter of Cosby, Phyllis Denton of Maryville, Janice White of Seymour, Pat Denton and Judy Atkins of Greenville, SC; nephews, Jimmie Proffitt and Randall Proffitt of Cosby; sister-in-law, Joyce Denton of Alcoa; special great nephew and great niece, Lance Gunter and Stacy Mousseau of Cosby; special care givers, Denise Howard and Eleana O’Bryon. Funeral services will be held 7:00 pm Sunday, September 8, 2013 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Chaplain Ron Carrell, Pastor Jerry Campbell, and Larry Proffitt officiating. Burial will be held 11:00 am Monday, September 9, 2013 in Clay Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm Sunday at Manes Funeral Home prior to the funeral service.
