(January 13, 1950 - May 7, 2010) U.S. Veteran Joe Loam Mantooth age 60 went to be with the Lord after a long battle with cancer at the home with family. He was an over the road truck driver for over 40 years. His last job was with LLI Lazyboy Logistics in Tazewell TN for the past 20 years. He was a veteran of the U S Army. He is preceded in death by his infant daughter Melissa Kay Mantooth, parents Robert and Leona (Ball) Mantooth, brothers Terry Ronnie Mantooth and Othell Mantooth. He is survived by his wife of 41 years Starr (Kelley) Mantooth, of Newport, daughters Trayce Michelle Mooneyham and son in law Bill Mooneyham of Del Rio, Tena Jo Hines and son in law R J Hines , son Robert C. Mantooth and special friend April Rollins all of Newport, brothers Lynn Mantooth and wife Wanda of Bybee, Gary Mantooth of Bybee, sister Kathy Jarnigan and husband Terry of Newport, sisters in law Brenda Mantooth and Imogene Mantooth both of Newport, 5 grandchildren Carolynn Michelle and Amanda Shea Mooneyham of Del Rio, Samantha and Austin Hines of the home, Hayli Mantooth of Newport, also a host of nieces , nephews and other family members and special friends Duane Morgan and Larry Carroll. Funeral services will be held 8 p.m. Monday May 10, 2010 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel with Glen Ball and Steve Downard officiating. Burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday May 11, 2010 in the Mantooth Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-8 on Monday prior to the funeral service.
