WELCH, FOWLER M. - age 83, went to his Heavenly home August 15, 2005 at 4 am where he joined his mother and father, William F. and Martha Ann Ridenour Welch brothers, Reed, Lonas, Marshall, Ephis, Edgar and Ernest Welch sisters, Bertha Oxendine, Adna Ridenour and Nova Smith son-in-law, Wayne Dawson. Fowler was an employee of Knox County Clerk Office, a 32nd Degree Mason Lodge #757 F&A.M. Fountain City. He was a special friend and loved by all. Survivors: loving wife of 61 years, Velma Warren Welch sons and daughters-in-law, Clyde and Joyce Welch and Jack and Donna Welch daughter, Gail Dawson all of Knoxville daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and Gary W. Lindner of Lenoir City grandchildren, Terry Kitts, Tammy Martin, Tracie Welch, Greg Welch, Contessa Perky, Andrea Welch and Isaac Welch 7 great grandchildren sister, Lenoir Cardwell sister and brother-in-law, Jeanitta and John E. Irwin several nieces, nephews, cousins and many many friends. Masonic service 8 pm Wednesday Mynatt Funeral Home Chapel Ftn. City, with funeral service to follow, Rev. Curtis Tindell and Rev. Herbert Jones officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:15 am Thursday at Mynatt Funeral Home Ftn. City and proceed to Halls Memory Gardens for interment service at 11. Pallbearers: Jeff Welch, Marshall Childress, DeWayne McCarter, Ray Alston, Don Humphrey and Dr. Joseph Birdwell. Honorary pallbearers: Bill McMillian, Allen Gill and Joe Brooks. Family will receive friends 5 to 8 pm Wednesday at Mynatt Funeral Home, Ftn. City.
