Born September 1, 1917, she was a faithful member of Helton Springs Baptist Church. Preceded in death by her husband, Carson Phelps; and children, Brenda, Ronald, Doyal and Marshall. She is survived by her loving children; sons, Kenneth Phelps of Blaine; Lewis and Charles Phelps of Rutledge; and daughters, Bonnie Williams and Dorthy Phelps of Rutledge; and Freda Hern of Blaine; 16 grandchildren and a large number of great and great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 8:00 PM, Friday, March 13, 2009 in the Smith - Reagan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Allen Shupe, Rev. Dwight Wolfe and Rev. Travis Bowden officiating. Graveside service will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 14, 2009 in Mary's Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery in Bean Station with grandsons serving as Pallbearers. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM, Friday prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family request consideration of donations to Mary's Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery fund.
