  [S4] Knoxville News-Sentinel (Tennessee), 3 Jun 2001. POTTER, WILLIAM EARNEST - age 78 of Maryville, died, Friday June 1, 2001 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a retired Msgt. with US Air Force. He served as a Mason, he was of the Baptist faith and was an avid camper. He was preceded in death by wife, Billie P. Wilburn Potter; parents, William H. & Bertha Potter and his brother, Kenneth Potter. Survivors include; daughters, Brenda Blasco of Fla., Susie Samuelson of Ga.; sons, Bo Potter of Maryville, Robert Potter of Maryville and Sam Potter of Maryville; daughter, Barbie Phillips of Maryville; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren; brothers, James Ray Potter & Lloyd Potter both of Maryville, Floyd Potter of Mich.; sister, Barbara June Tipton of Maryville; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service 2 p.m. Monday June 4, 2001, Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Rev. Tommy Boring officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery.
