He was preceded in death by his wife, Merle Fine; son, Ronnie Fine; parents, Dempsey and Bonnie Fine; and brothers, Clyde, Furman, and Leon Fine. He is survived by his son, Doyle Fine; granddaughter and her husband, Melissa and Jerry Grooms; grandson and his wife, Danny and Kim Fine, all of Newport; brother and sister-in-law, Nease and Helen Fine; sister and brother-in-law, Thella and Ed Bryant, all of Newport; sister, Norrettus (Reddie) and the late Chuck Curbow; great-grandchildren: Ashlee Grooms, Logan and Austin Fine, all of Newport; nieces and nephews: Brenda Stewart, Danny Bryant, Pam Fine, Teresa Zoppo, Rhonda Ellison, Dottie Stapleton, Shelia Fine, Phyllis McMillian, Randy Fine, Tammy Fine, Ron Fine, Todd Fine, Freddy Dearing, Clydene Fine, and Jackie Evans; special friends, cousins, great-nieces, and nephews; also half-brothers, Jerry, Dempsey Jr., and Mike, and a half-sister, Sharon.
