Jerry was a member of Blaine Chapel American Christian church in Rutledge, enjoyed working in construction "driving nails", singing, going to church and going to gospel singings, also Blue grass gospel. Jerry loved gardening and keeping yards mowed. Son of the late Ida McDaniel Young Lewis and Reuben Young. Preceded in death by: parents, infant sister; son, Dale; twin grandchildren, Jeremiah and Jennifer. Survived by: devoted wife of 45 years Dolly; children, LeDonna Young (Greg), Sharon (Jim) Tillie, Larry (Kaye) Young, Loretta Young (Johnny), Teresa (David) Kitts all of Maynardville; brother, Roy Dean (Vicki) Lewis of Knoxville; sisters Irene (Curt) Reed of Thorn Hill, Ressie (Ed) Gibson of Tazewell; grandchildren, Crystal (Caleb) Graham, Michael (Chessie) Delph, Anthony (Devina) Delph, Becky (Jaycen) Jenes, Jonathan (Tillie), Brandon Nicley, Chris Young, Ryan Young Cody and Joshua Kitts; step grandchildren, Dustin, Matt; special little Angels of which Pappaw dearly love great grandchildren LaShea, Haley, MaKayla, MaKenzie, Alysia; mother-in-law, Lillie Dyer; several special nieces, nephews, and special cousins; special friend and Doctor, Dr. Clint T.
