He was retired from ALCOA with thirty plus years of service. He was preceded in death by his son, Robert David Cowan; parents, Roy and Margaret Cowan; and brothers, Leroy and Eugene Cowan. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Alice McGill Cowan; son, Mike Cowan; grandchildren, Kelsi Cowan, Nikki Davis, and Mason Cowan; brother, M. A. Cowan; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Family and friends will gather 2:00 PM Monday, March 19, 2012, at Clark’s Grove Cemetery for the graveside service and interment, Rev. Raymond Burnett officiating.
