Zion Baptist Church, retired from Alcoa Aluminum Co., where he was a member of the 25 Year Club. Survivors: wife, Gertie Summey Tallent daughters and sons-in-law, Edna and Mayford Blankenship of Madisonville, and Reba Nell and Vic Kirkland of Vonore sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Kathryn Tallent of Maryville, and Clifford and Vicky Tallent , of Loudon grandchildren and spouses, Neal and Debbie Tallent , Steve Tallent , Jason and Estella Tallent , Kevin and Andrea Tallent , Tim and Jacy Blankenship, Greg and Ann Blankenship, Penny and Tim Tipton, and Nikki and Tim Cox 14 great-grandchildren uncle, J. C. Tallent of Portland, Oregon, and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, Jim and Louie Miller Tallent sister, Eliza Jane Giles and brothers, Burl, Tom, Otis, Bob and Lee Boone Tallent . Funeral service 8 p.m. Tuesday, Biereley-Hale Chapel, Rev. Tommy Self and Rev. Gale Miller officiating. Interment 11 a.m. Wednesday, Big Toqua Cemetery.
