Member of Emerald Avenue United Methodist Church for over 50 years, member of the United Methodist Women, and Past Matron of the Acacia Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. Preceded in death by husband, William Leming. Survived by son and wife, William and Elena Leming; daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Jim Chrisman; sister, Hazel Goddard; grandchildren, Kelly and Curtis Kurtz, Chris and Lilly Leming, Joey Menendez, Elena and Aaron Hume; great-grandchildren, Christopher James Leming and Dylan Aaron Hume. Funeral services will be 8:00 pm Wednesday, October 17, 2007 in the chapel at Bridges Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Bean officiating. Family and friends will meet 9:45 am Thursday at Lynnhurst Cemetery for a 10:00 am interment. Pallbearers: Christopher Leming, Joey Menendez, Aaron Hume, David Sparks, Jimmy Sparks, and Rusty Sparks. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Emerald Avenue United Methodist Church, 1620 N. Central Street, Knoxville, TN 37917.
