Manson Brown, 87, went home to celebrate Jesus birthday on Tuesday, December 25, 2012 at his home. Born in Cosby, TN, he was the son of the late Joe and Zora Sutton Brown. Manson was retired from Reynolds Adhesive Co. and member of Faith Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Dorothy Phillips Brown of the home; daughter: Geraldine Cogdill; sister: Stella White of TN; 3 grandchildren: David Cogdill, Kenneth Cogdill and Shannon Cogdill (Andrew) Knoblauch; 10 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Rhoda Henderson Brown; 2 sisters and 1 brother. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:30 until 8 p.m. at The Howze Mortuary. Funeral services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at The Howze Mortuary Chapel with burial to follow at Mountain View Memorial Park. The family will be at their respective homes.
