Evelyn Boring Snavely, age 56, went to be with the Lord on April 7, 2010. She was a member of New Providence Primitive Baptist Church. Preceded in death by her parents, Lonnie and Florence Crisp Boring; brothers, Walter Lee, Charles Thomas, and Clyde Boring. Survivors include: sisters, Pearl (Bob) Hampton of Greenback, Polly (Roy) Wilson of Maryville, Irene (Howard) Fox of Sevierville, Ann (Jack) Wilson of Maryville, and Dean Cooper of Maryville; brothers, Bill Boring of Dalton, Georgia, Herman, Jim, and George Boring all of Maryville; special nephew and family, Roger and Lisa, Heath and Haley Hampton of Greenback; special niece and family, Julie, Jeff, Amanda and Emily Murr of Maryville; and special friend, AJ Johnson of Knoxville. Evelyn was a loving person with a loving and giving heart. She was always giving to others. The family would like to thank, Dr. Alan Grossman, his nurses, and the staff at Thompson Cancer Center for all of their excellent and loving care. All of them were like family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 871 North Weisgarber Road, Knoxville, TN 37909-2780. Graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM Friday at New Providence Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, with Rev. Ricky Boring officiating.
