BROOME, WAYNE - age 31 of Knoxville died Wednesday July 17, 2002 at a family residence. Member of Wallace Memorial Baptist Church. Graduate of Central High School. Preceded in death by: father, Gordon Wayne Broome, Sr. grandfather, Clarence E. Ault grandparents, W.J. and Mary Mingle Broome. Survivors: mother, N. Ann Broome sister, Cheryl Broome, both of Knoxville sister and brother-in-law, Jeanette and David Bradley, Clinton grandmother, Juanita Ault, Knoxville nieces, Kara Bradley and Cayla Broome-Rader numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral service will be 3:00 PM Saturday, Wallace Memorial Baptist Church. Dr. James McCluskey and Dr. Mike Boyd will officiate. Family and friends will meet at Highland Memorial Cemetery at 2:45 PM on Sunday for a 3:00 PM graveside service and interment. Pallbearers: Ed Poore, Clark Piercy, Terry Cunningham, Mike Jennings, Eddie Faulkner, Scott and Steven Harmon. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the: Wayne Broome College Scholarship Fund at Wallace Memorial Baptist Church 701 Merchants Drive Knoxville, Tennessee 37912. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11-3 PM in the Wallace Memorial Baptist Church Atrium. Stevens Mortuary, Oglewood Ave. at Broadway is in charge of arrangements.
