Paul David Tindell age 72 of Halls, passed away Tuesday June 10, 2008 at St. Mary’s Residential Hospice. He was a lifetime member of Salem Baptist Church and was a former owner of Tindell’s Building Supply and a former state representative. He was an avid nascar racing fan and an airplane, motorcycle and boating enthusiast. Preceded in death by parents, Francis and Lillian Hill Tindell and wife, Ruby McConkey Tindell. Survived by son: Darryl Tindell and wife Debbie; Daughter, Dawn Holbert and husband Mark; Grandchildren, Dudley Votaw, Zachary Tindell and Seth Tindell; Brother, Carl Tindell and wife Janice, their daughters Melanie and Timeka and their families. Step children: Pam Mynatt, Jeanne Fielden, Buster Vineyard, Rhonda Vineyard Hackworth, Richard Vineyard and their spouses and children. Uncles and aunts: Jess and Lela Foster, Winnie Mynatt and Claude Hill of California. Special friends, Bill Varner and friends at Hardees’s of Halls. Family gives a special thanks to Elmcroft of Halls and St. Mary’s Residential Hospice. Service is 8:00 pm Thursday at Salem Baptist Church with Rev. John Holland officiating. Family and friends will meet at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel 10:15 am Friday and proceed to Hill Cemetery for interment service at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Legacy Park Foundation, 2447 Sutherland Avenue, Knoxville, TN 37919 for the Halls Park Fund. Family will receive friends 5:00 – 8:00 pm Thursday at Salem Baptist Church of Halls. Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel in charge of arrangements.
