USAF born January 31, 1936 in Jefferson County, passed away suddenly Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at his home in Murfreesboro, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents, Plemmons (Cap) Finchum and Reva McGaha Finchum and brother, Jack Finchum of Newport. He is survived by his son, Col Kenneth Gary Finchum, Jr. and wife Lyn Finchum of Singapore; daughters, Rene F. Bennett and husband Dennis Bennett of Murfreesboro, Dana Finchum of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Michael Andrew Finchum, Alyssa Marie Finchum, McKenzie Finchum and Hannah Bennett; sister-in-law, Margie Finchum of Newport; former wife and friend, Joyce Snapp Finchum of Murfresboro; canine companion, Oreo. Funeral will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, November 24, 2007 at Woodfin Funeral Home in Murfreesboro. Entombment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Garden. Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, November 23, 2007.
