ESSLINGER, GEORGE LEON - age 65 of Knoxville, passed away Sunday, June 28, 2009. He was of the Baptist faith. He was a master mechanic and retired after 21 years of service from Highway Transport. He was a member of Burlington Lodge #763 F&AM, Burlington Chapter # 458 OES, Kodak Chapter #460 OES, Kerbella Temple and Scottish Rite. Live well. Laugh often. Love much. Preceded in death by wife, Nancy Strange Esslinger; daughter, Janet Lynn Esslinger; parents, George and Suella Clift Esslinger; and brothers, Wayne and Fred Esslinger. Survivors relatives of Leon are Paul, Barbara, Jennifer, Chelsea, and Alana Doyle of Nashville; sister-in-law, Barbara Shinevare of Michigan; special friends, Tom and Marlene Hudgens, Scott, Michelle, and Jessica Morgan of Kodak, Martie Boulton of Powell; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A Masonic service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Stevens Chapel conducted by Chaplain Tony James. Family and friends will meet at Lynnhurst Cemetery at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service and interment. Paul Doyle officiating.
