TOWE, LAWRENCE WADE, SR. - age 94, of Knoxville, passed away on Wednesday, September 19, 2001. He was founder of Towe Iron Works, Inc., and was a member of South Knoxville Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 61 years, Margaret Hux Towe; son, Lawrence Wade Towe, Jr. He is survived by his loving family, wife, Mary Ann Towe; daughter, Frances Towe Jenkins and husband John; sons, Richard Lee Towe and wife, Jewel, Donald Wayne Towe and wife Shirley, David Lynn Towe and wife Faye; daughter-in-law, Willayne Easterday Towe; 13 grandchildren, John Jenkins Jr. and wife Lisa, Deborah Towe Ballard and husband Gary, Patricia Summers and husband Joe, Terry Jones, Richard Towe, Jr. and wife Angie, Stephen Towe and wife Donna, Donald W. Towe, Jr. and wife, Angie, Christopher Towe and wife, Kim, Vicky Sue Coward and husband Robert, Seth Towe, David L. Towe Jr. and wife Brenda, Jeffery L. Towe and wife, Lisa, and Mark Towe; 24 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.
