?HUFFSTETLER, Alonzo R. (Lon), age 88 of Maryville, passed away Wednesday, October 30,
2002, at Blount Memorial Hospital. He had been a member of Carpenters United Methodist
Church since 1928, was retired from ORNL after 21 years of service and was also employed by
ALCOA for several years. He was a member of the Mt. View Masonic Lodge #519 for over 50
years, was a 32 Degree Scottish Rite Mason and a York Rite Mason.
Mr. Huffstetler was preceded in death by a son, Derrill Huffstetler; his parents, Andrew Russell
and Mary M. Tuck Huffstetler; sister, Maude Gardner and brothers, Fred and Lee Huffstetler.
Survivors include: wife, Jessie Denton Huffstetler; son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Genia
Huffstetler of Maryville; daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Harold Walker of Maryville;
daughter, Linda Sue Alcorn of Leesburg, Florida; 8 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; sister,
Mote Miller of Alcoa; daughter-in-law, Mary Huffstetler of GA.
A Masonic Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral
Home Chapel followed by funeral services with Rev. Kenny Tucker officiating. Family and
friends will meet at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Carpenter’s Cemetery for the interment service.
The family will receive friends from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday at McCammon-Ammons-Click
