Watson, Euphrasia Belle Spangler, age 85, went to her heavenly home on Saturday, August 13, 2011. She was a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church, a descendant of the first families of Tennessee and the American Revolution. She was a homemaker and contributed to the effort of World War II as a member of the Manhattan Project. Preceded in death by husband, James A. Watson, Sr., of 54 years, whom she so sadly missed each day; grandson, Brahm Watson; sisters, Pauline Gaddis, Violet White and Grace Glass. Survived by children, Fay Brewer, James A. Watson, Jr. and wife, Donna; Sue Wilkerson and husband, Carl; Tony Watson and wife, Nicole; 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; brother, C.R. "Bud" Spangler, Jr.; sister, June King; several nieces and nephews. A special thank you to Dr. Michael Bernard and staff; sister, June King; and our special angel, Suzanne Newman. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Cemetery Fund, 538 Thomas Circle, Seymour, TN 37865. Family and friends will meet on Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at Berry Funeral Home at 10:15 a.m. to proceed to Zion Lutheran Cemetery for an 11:00 graveside service, with Pastor Brad Hyde officiating.
